The Chinese territory is mostly mountainous, only 30% of the surface is located at an altitude less than 1000 m above sea level. The climatic conditions are different from north to south and from east to west. The interior is dominated by continental climates, with very high temperature ranges and low rainfall. The south-east is affected by the monsoons and presents intense summer rainfall and winter drought; the year is practically divided into only two basic seasons, summer and winter, with very short intermediate periods.

China is an immense country with over 4000 years of accumulated history, so from a tourist point of view the things to visit and to do are really so many. The proposals in terms of tours are the most varied: they range from the most classic itineraries that include Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin and Shanghai to other more sought after and niche ones such as those based on the discovery of local, naturalistic or adventure ethnic groups and cultures.
